This role offers a hybrid work arrangement and can be based in either São Paulo, SP, or Uberaba, MG. It requires three days per week in the office or warehouse, with travel to the two warehouses located in Uberaba, MG, and Louveira, SP, as needed based on work demands.

What You’ll Do

As the Supply Chain Director, you will oversee all supply chain activities for our Brazil operations. Your responsibilities will include managing warehousing and distribution, inbound and outbound transportation, import and export activities, customer service, demand planning, supply planning, and the entire customer order flow.

You’ll get to:


  • Collaborate with sales and other departments to integrate logistics with business systems and/or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting and shipping.
  • Lead the S&OP process for Brazil, assure a robust forecasting process and work together with regional planning to achieve inventory and service levels targets.
  • Prepare, present and explain annual budgets for distribution and transportation costs. Work with Region planning on inventory budget and monthly estimates.
  • Oversees product planning to ensure the best service level to our customer orders while optimizing the inventory levels to meet the company working capital goals.
  • Monitor service levels, fill rates, inventory turns, excess, obsoletes, and take proactive actions to meet targets.
  • Prepare performance scorecard metrics, explain and project results, define and execute corrective and preventive actions as needed.
  • Visit customers to familiarize with market trends and needs to incorporate local country knowledge and requirements into supply chain processes.
  • Direct distribution center operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, safety and timeline goals.
  • Directs and supervises all warehouse activities, shipments and materials management. Including: the planning of the installed capacity to meet customers and sales requirements and timing, safety performance and logistics quality management.
  • Directs inbound and outbound logistics operations, including:
  • Freight forwarders contracts, foreign trade & custom agents, including ocean, air and ground transportation.
  • Monitor product import and export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Defines the most cost-effective freight inbound and outbound options
  • Communicate freight transportation information to customers or suppliers, using transportation management systems to improve quality of transportation services.
  • Implement optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.
  • Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
  • Guarantees that all corporate and regulatory standards regarding security, environmental, health and safety and business compliance are properly fulfilled.
  • Lead projects to improve, enhance or expand capacity and to gain operational efficiencies.
  • Coach, mentor, manage and supervise the Supply Chain team, assuring that best talent is retained, recognized and rewarded. Build a robust team and create backups for key positions.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers, vendors, and other functions: sales, marketing, finance, human resources, etc.

  • Engineering, Business Administration or Related Field Bachelor’s Degree.
  • MBA is a plus & APICS CSCP or CPIM certification and SCOR experience a plus
  • Minimum of 15 years supply chain experience, including: warehouse, distribution, import and export, demand and supply planning, customer service, S&OP management, procurement.
  • Minimum of 10-year experience managing successful Supply Chain teams
  • Experience managing MPS, MRP, DRP, CRP, WMS, TMS
  • Proved track record in Lean Logistics, Six Sigma, Kan Ban, Pull Systems
  • Solid experience in S&OP / IBP processes.
  • Experience implementing and running Distribution Centers with international transportation, Free Trade Zones and different types of inbound/outbound logistics.
