This role involves actively managing strategic clients, building trusted relationships with partners, and leading a high-performance team. By leveraging commercial tools and optimizing distribution channels, the VP of Sales will enhance commercial efficiency across hotels, ensuring Accor remains the preferred solution for owners, stakeholders, and customers. Key focus areas include expanding into mature markets like Mexico and the US, maintaining leadership in Brazil, and prioritizing franchise growth, all while aligning with Accor's global objectives.

Job Description
Position Objective:
Define, implement, and execute the company's sales strategy across the Americas, driving revenue growth and market share expansion. This role involves actively managing strategic clients, building trusted relationships with partners, and leading a high-performance team. By leveraging commercial tools and optimizing distribution channels, the VP of Sales will enhance commercial efficiency across hotels, ensuring Accor remains the preferred solution for owners, stakeholders, and customers. Key focus areas include expanding into mature markets like Mexico and the US, maintaining leadership in Brazil, and prioritizing franchise growth, all while aligning with Accor's global objectives.
Main Activities
- Sales Strategy: develop & implement strategies considering specific needs and expansion in target markets, defining mgmt models, promoting the integration and positioning of brands in the market, leading & inspiring a sales team that will focus on different opportunities: attracting new business opportunities, building relationships with existing key customers, cross-selling, new processes, and others to optimize results by increasing sales in the region.
- Sales Efficiency and Synergy: Optimize sales efficiency by combining the entire sales force and systems, working in collaboration with the Distribution, Loyalty, and Marketing teams, as well as other regional sales structures. This will contribute to market share growth and the evolution of the REVPAR INDEX, ensuring the best value for the sales force.
- Industry events/forums: represent Accor at international & local fairs and events to set up relationships with the trade, including Accor in relevant scenarios of this industry. Assure the reliability of the brand assets in operations, risk management, and customer satisfaction standards.
- Customer relations: Represent Accor and the sales area with strategic customers through participation and leadership in meetings/gatherings to close short—and long-term deals and contracts and generate strategic sales for the hotels.
- Budget Management: control revenues and expenses of the sales cost center through planning and budget development associated with Accor's strategies, through the mgmt of the expenses to optimize & leverage sales strategies, through personnel, mkt, travel, external consultants, and other cost lines.
- Team Management: Manage the teams under your responsibility, selecting, developing, evaluating, and encouraging the level of engagement that contributes to a good organizational environment, talent retention, and high performance.
- Ethics & CSR: Promote the values and commitments defined in the Code of Ethics and respect the Compliance Policy in managing people, processes, and relationships. Ensure ethical third-party management by applying compliance tools and monitoring quality and integrity in accordance with the policies.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in strategic sales positions in tourism, hospitality, airlines, or related sectors.
- Experience engaging with corporate boards, investors, asset managers, and other strategic stakeholders.
- Demonstrated people management and leadership expertise, with a proven track record of inspiring, developing, and leading high-performance teams to achieve results and drive organizational success.
- Experience in the market, especially Brazil and Latam. Knowledge of the US and Canada markets is a plus.
- Proven ability to effectively lead and negotiate.
- Proficiency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
- Academic qualifications in Business Administration, Tourism & Hospitality, Marketing, Engineering, or related areas.
- Preferably holds a Postgraduate or MBA degree.
- Strong people management and leadership skills for high-performance teams.
- Excellent analytical thinking skills to assess and interpret complex information.
- High cultural adaptability and sensitivity to work effectively in diverse environments.
